COLUMBUS— Rosie Lee Halbert Shelton, 99, died July 22, 2010. Services are Thursday at Union Chapel M.B. Church. Burial will follow at Union Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is today at 1 p.m. Shelton was born Feb. 3, 1911, in Noxubee County to the late Harrison and Zenobia Jackson Halbert. She was a member of Union Chapel MB Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Anderson Shelton, and her daughter Elberta Brown. She is survived by four children, Zettie Lee Shelton and Gertrude Magby, both of Columbus; Wilbur Shelton, of McKinney, Texas, Morris Shelton, of Macon; sister, Emma Halbert, of Maywood, Ill.; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
