WEST POINT — James D. “Pete” McFadden, 80, died Feb. 8, 2009, at West Point Community Living Center. Services are Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel in West Point with Bishop Jack Redwine and Mr. Billy Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. McFadden was born Dec. 8, 1928, in Clay County to the late Mattie Blankenship and Robert Franklin McFadden. He was a self-employed farmer and a security guard for B&W and Bryan Foods. He was a member of Siloam Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Emma Bean McFadden; brother, Robert McFadden; and sister, Elizabeth Christian. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Jo Wells of West Point, and two grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Benson, Mort and David Stroud, Randy and Lee Wallace, Jerry Blackwell, Rick Stafford, Mike Wilson and Marcus Sims.
