Virenia Ann Coleman, age 72, died Saturday, July 20, 2013, at her residence in Columbus. Services will be held Friday, July 26, 2013, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Ray officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to service. Mrs. Coleman was born on Sunday, September 22, 1940, in Liberty, AL to the late Ira Gordy and Annie Jo Watkins Cash. She was a member of McBee Baptist Church and a former office clerk at Seminole Manufacturing, and worked in the pharmacy at Wal Mart of Columbus. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Gene Coleman. Survivors include her daughter, Melesia Love (Milton), Arab, AL; son, John Coleman (Jane), Lowell, AR; sister, Mary Alyce Carr Parrish (Clint), Columbus, MS; and grandsons, Daniel Love, Randall Love, Jacob Coleman and Joshua Coleman. The pallbearers will be Daniel Love, Randall Love, Roger Wiggins, Chris Newell, Kenneth Cash and Bob Trull. The honorary pallbearers will be Jeanette Meyers, Gerald Scallions, Stan Maynard, Dr. Min Kim and Dr. Danny Stokes. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association/MS Chapter, 196 Charmant Place, Suite 4, Ridgeland, MS 39157.
