CLAY COUNTY — A woman faces a first-degree murder charge in connection to a Sunday morning fatal stabbing on Barton Ferry Road.
Dominique Powell, 38, was arrested in what is believed to be a domestic case, Sheriff Eddie Scott said, though he couldn’t confirm the relationship between Powell and the victim.
Coroner Alvin Carter identified the victim, who died at the scene, as Barry Crump, 48. Carter said the incident happened at about 1 a.m.
Scott said the investigation is still ongoing, and the motive for the stabbing has not been determined.
