STARKVILLE — A pair of Starkville men face sexual battery charges in unrelated cases.
Patrick Hogan, 34, was arrested Friday, according to Starkville Police Department. The alleged crime was reported that morning.
SPD Public Information Officer Brandon Lovelady confirmed the parties knew each other before the incident. He declined to give further details due to the sensitive nature of the case.
Hogan is being held in Oktibbeha County Jail with bond set at $100,000.
In an unrelated case, Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office arrested Javion Jefferson, 26, on April 3 and charged him with one count of sexual battery.
Capt. Brett Watson confirmed Jefferson and the victim knew each other, and the suspect was arrested at a different location than the alleged incident. Watson would not give further details, also citing the sensitive nature of the case.
Jefferson has been released from Oktibbeha County Jail after posting a $5,000 bond.
