The Oktibbeha County Sheriff”s Office has arrested two men and is searching for another wanted in connection with a motorcycle theft last month off Old Mayhew Road.
Brian Lamar Ingram, 19, of 1516 Blackjack Road, was arrested Sept. 8 and charged with grand larceny. One of Ingram”s alleged accomplices, Jesse Watson, 36, of 1324 Fox Road, was arrested Aug. 27. He also was charged with grand larceny.
The Sheriff”s Office is still searching for a third suspect. He is described as a black male in his 20s, although no further description was available. Investigators also have been unable to determine the third man”s identity.
The men are suspects in the theft of a dark 2006 Suzuki GSX motorcycle the morning of Aug. 25. At about 9:30 a.m., witnesses say three black males loaded the motorcycle onto the back of an early 1980s model Chevrolet pickup truck and left Mayhew Townhouses. The truck, described as two-toned brown and tan with silver tips on the exhaust pipes, was last seen heading south on Old Mayhew Road toward Bardwell Road.
Sheriff”s Department investigators have since located the truck, which belonged to Ingram”s family, but have not yet located the motorcycle.
“We”re still looking for that bike as far as we can go,” Sheriff”s Office investigator Rick Sharp said. “We”ve ran down several leads, but they haven”t come through. I think until we can identify that third person, the motorcycle will remain (missing).”
Anyone with information on the identity of the third suspect or the location of the stolen motorcycle can contact the Oktibbeha County Sheriff”s Office at 662-323-2421 or Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at 1-800-530-7151.
