Three suspects have been arrested for a shooting over the weekend that resulted in no injuries and involved a child.
Christopher Brown, 33, of West Point, Jennifer Bass, 31, of Starkville and Latoya Halfacre, 50, of Starkville, are each charged with two counts of aggravated assault, plus one count of contributing to the neglect of a child for Halfacre.
The arrests come as a result of shots fired at 135 Sand Road Saturday afternoon. All three were arrested without resistance outside of Spin City Cleaners at the intersection of Highway 182 and Old West Point Road.
Starkville Police Department declined to give any more details about the shooting incident itself or to say how a child was involved. SPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Brandon Lovelady confirmed that the parties involved knew each other.
The suspects are being held at the Oktibbeha County Jail, with no bond set as of press time.
