OKTIBBEHA COUNTY – A Kosciusko man died in a three-vehicle collision Thursday afternoon in Oktibbeha County.
Michael Cook, 65, was killed after the motorcycle he was riding collided with two vehicles, Oktibbeha County Coroner Michael Hunt told The Dispatch Friday.
Sheriff Shank Phelps said the crash happened at about 3 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Old Highway 25 and Williams Road. Cook was traveling north on Highway 25 when his motorcycle hit a vehicle attempting to turn west onto Williams Road.
The impact slung Cook’s motorcycle into another vehicle turning in the same direction. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
There were no other injuries reported, and the collision remains under investigation, Phelps said.
