Columbus Police Department is asking for the public’s help finding a man who is missing after apparently having a wreck over the weekend.
Robert Hargrove, 42, wrecked his car sometime on Friday, according to Police Chief Joseph Daughtry. The car was found at the intersection of 15th Street South and Pickensville Road, but it was abandoned.
Daughtry said police found two addresses for Hargrove — something in the car that listed one address and another from the tag registration. Officers went to both but were unable to locate him. On Saturday they made contact with his girlfriend, who hadn’t heard from him either.
She decided to report him missing, Daughtry said.
“We just want to make sure he’s OK,” Daughtry said. “There’s all kinds of things that could have happened. Maybe somebody picked him up and took him to his cousin’s. We just want to make sure if he needs help that he can get it.”
Daughtry asked anyone who has seen Hargrove to contact CPD at (662) 244-3552 or call Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at (800) 530-7151.
