WEST POINT – A Friday night fight landed one man in a Memphis hospital and another in jail, Police Chief Avery Cook told The Dispatch.
Travell Demantre Cohen, 27, is charged with aggravated assault manifesting in extreme indifference to life.
Police responded Friday to East Morrow St., where Cohen and the victim were in a physical altercation. Cohen isn’t related to the victim, but Cook was unsure how the two know each other.
Cook said the victim was flown to a hospital in Memphis to be treated with surgery for a head injury.
Cohen is being held at the Clay County Detention Center awaiting his initial appearance in court.
