Police have arrested a man accused of stabbing a victim multiple times on Friday during a fight.
Tyshun Hudson, 45, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to a Columbus Police Department press release.
Officers responded Friday to the 800 block of Railroad Street in reference to a stabbing. At the scene, a 47-year-old victim had suffered multiple stab wounds to his upper body.
The victim was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle and released, Public Information Officer Bryan Moore told The Dispatch.
Investigators determined Hudson allegedly stabbed the victim as the two were in a physical altercation. Moore is unsure if the two know each other personally.
Hudson was arrested Saturday. He remains in custody at Lowndes County Adult Detention Center. Moore said no other charges are expected in the case.
