Downtown is preparing once again to welcome shoppers for Spring Open House, set for this weekend.
From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, downtown businesses will offer promotions and door prizes for residents and visitors shopping locally.
“The Downtown Spring Open House is a great time to get out of the house and stroll through historic Downtown Columbus!” Main Street Columbus Executive Director Barbara Bigelow said in a press release. “It’s the perfect opportunity to shop for upcoming special occasions such as Easter, Mother’s Day, graduations and other events that might require a special gift.”
Along with special discounts, promotions and door prize drawings at participating businesses, those attending can also register for the Grand Door Prize, valued at roughly $600.
“Come celebrate spring and experience all that downtown Columbus has to offer,” Bigelow said.

Keeping in the spring spirit, Main Street will host Pictures with the Easter Bunny from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 28 at Leadership Plaza at the intersection of College Street and Fifth Street.
