Columbus” Jim Robinson will probably never forget the name of this summer”s top-grossing movie, after stumbling over the question a few minutes into his return to ABC”s “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” Sunday night.
Robinson, 47, walked away from the show with $25,000.
The assessment coordinator for West Lowndes middle and high schools had amassed $16,000 in winnings on Thursday night”s broadcast, then returned Sunday to continue his quest toward $1 million.
He used a lifeline to correctly answer the $25,000 question, and correctly answered the $50,000 question, but then couldn”t answer the $100,000 question — what was the top-grossing U.S. movie through Aug. 1.
Robinson used the “double dip” lifeline, allowing him to give two answers. He first selected “Up,” then “Star Trek.”
Sunday”s episode was the finale of Millionaire”s two-week 10th anniversary special, which brought the show briefly back to prime time.
