STARKVILLE — Four sex crime cases last week were continued in Oktibbeha County Circuit Court.
The rape trial of Tony Davis was continued to the January term to allow the delivery of evidence. The sexual battery trial of Brandon Jones and statutory rape trial of Justin Thompson were also continued.
The fondling trial of Antonio Lucious, of 305 Everglade Ave. Apt. 10-C, was continued to January due to an unavailable witness.
The current Circuit Court term is in session for Monday and Tuesday of this week. The term will continue Oct. 31 and wrap up Nov. 4.

n Travis Hubbard, of 1404 S. Matucda Road in Aberdeen, had of two counts of the sale of MDMA (Ecstasy), two counts of the sale of cocaine and one count of conspiracy dropped.
n Joshua Norman, of 509 Pueblo Drive in Starkville, was convicted of armed robbery. He was sentenced to eight years in Mississippi Department of Corrections and five years post-release supervision. He must pay a $500 fine and must obtain his GED.
n Levaris Keion Parker, of 1585 Gates Road in Cedar Bluff, had his charge of sale of marijuana reduced to possession of marijuana greater than 30 grams. The case was moved to inactive file in lieu of completing a drug intervention program.
n April Barber, of 5178 Highway 82 in Maben, pleaded guilty to conspiracy. Barber was sentenced to one year and 173 days and was given credit for time spent in jail prior to her trial. Barber must pay a $300 fine.
n Joshua Winters, of 533 S. Central St. in Winona, was convicted of embezzlement. He was sentenced to eight years in MDOC, two years of post-release supervision and ordered to repay $5,100 to Finder’s Keepers in Starkville.
n Reginald Ward, of 1934 Wade Road in Starkville, was convicted of DUI third offense. He was sentenced to two years in MDOC, three years of post-release supervision and ordered to pay a $2,000 fine. Ward must also complete a long-term alcohol rehabilitation program.
n Dionte Doss, of 2009 Lynn Lane Apt. F-5 in Starkville, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and had a charge for shooting into a dwelling dropped. Doss was sentenced to eight years in MDOC, two years of post-release supervision and ordered to pay a $500 fine.
n Willie James Jordan, of 315 Boling St. in Jackson, was convicted of burglary and larceny of a dwelling. He was sentenced to five years in MDOC and ordered to pay a $500 fine.
n James A. Smith leaded guilty to aggravated assault and domestic violence. He was sentenced to 20 years, 12 suspended and five years of post-release supervision.
n Matthew Nelson, of 33 Willis St. in Mathiston, pleaded guilty to possession of a weapon on school property. Nelson was sentenced to three years of probation and ordered to pay a $500 fine.
n Nancy Harber, of 1102 Salem Road in Weir, pleaded guilty to embezzlement. She was sentenced to 10 years in MDOC, all suspended, five years probation and ordered to pay a $500 fine and $1,700 restitution.

n Deondrick Dantzler, of 3427 Woodson Road in Sturgis, had his possession of marijuana charge moved to inactive file in lieu of completing a drug intervention program.
n Phoneshia Mobley, of 305 Everglade Ave. in Starkville, pleaded guilty to identity theft. As a result of the plea, an embezzlement charge against Mobley was dropped. She received a 15-year suspended sentence, five years of probation and ordered to pay a $750 fine and $336 in restitution.
n Jessie Watson’s grand larceny charge case was dismissed.
