Classes from several Lowndes County elementary schools attended the Mississippi State University’s Wood Magic Science Fair earlier this month. Hosted by MSU’s Department of Sustainable Bioproducts in the College of Forest Resources, the fair teaches students that wood is renewable, recyclable, biodegradable and durable through hands-on experiments like making plywood and paper.
