Columbus Police Department is asking for the public’s help finding a man connected to a Saturday stabbing incident.
According to Public Information Officer Johannah Owusu, officers responded to the 2500 block of 23rd Avenue North for a reported stabbing.
The victim and the suspect, identified as Isiam Perkins, 58, got into an argument about yard work, Owusu said. The confrontation got physical, and Perkins allegedly stabbed the victim in the neck with a knife and fled the scene.
The victim was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.
Perkins was still at large as of this posting.
Anyone with any information about Perkins’ whereabouts is asked to call Lowndes County E911 at (662) 329-5720 or Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at (800) 530-7151, or use the P3 smartphone app.
Tipsters remain anonymous and information that leads to an arrest is eligible for a cash reward.
