A Columbus man was arrested Wednesday following investigations of sexually-related accusations involving two victims.
Timothy Bell, 41, is charged with sexual battery and molesting a child younger than 12, according to a Columbus Police Department press release.
Officers responded June 9, 2024, to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle, where a female victim reported she had been sexually assaulted by a relative, the press release said.
An investigation followed, in which CPD’s Criminal Investigation Division determined Bell was responsible.
The molestation charge stems from a separate case, related to a report filed with CPD on Aug. 8 of this year, the press release said.
Bell is being held in Lowndes County Adult Detention Center.
