Columbus retailer Belk will start Black Friday sales at 4 p.m. today.
Shoppers can find doorbuster sales with up to 75 percent off merchandise. Chefs, look out for instant pots for under $70 and other cooking deals. Ladies can find $20 Rampage boots and sales throughout the fashion department. Men can look forward to buy one get two free select pants and sportswear. Belk closes at 1 a.m. Friday but will reopen for more doorbusters at 6 a.m. Friday.
Ulta will open its doors at 6 p.m. today with beauty busters on select mascaras and Urban Decay eye-shadow palettes.
If you’re looking for some athletic deals, Dick’s Sporting Goods opens at 6 p.m. with doorbusters up to 65 percent savings.
Looking for new craft projects while it’s getting cold outside, Michaels will open 6 p.m.-midnight with 30 percent off your entire purchase. It will reopen Friday at 7 a.m. for more dealbuster sales hitting the craft store.
Three other major chains — Dollar General, Fred’s and Walgreens — will be open Thanksgiving Day. Dollar General will open at 7 a.m., Fred’s at 9 a.m. and Walgreens at 6 a.m.
Some special deals are starting early Friday morning on Main Street. Park Place will open at 2 a.m. Friday, offering a free dry shampoo with a $25 purchase until 6 a.m. Everything at Park Place will be “buy one, get one 50 percent off” until 10 a.m., but if you wake up late, you can still find 20 percent off specials store-wide.
Don’t forget to shop local this weekend for Columbus Main Street. Small business Saturday will have downtown merchants offering awesome deals from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Main Street Director Barbara Bigelow said some retailers will even offer snacks while you walk downtown. Be sure to stop by and support local businesses and find some holiday gifts downtown.
Both the Walmart in Columbus and Starkville will open today at 6 p.m. with some major deals on electronics, including a PS4 bundle deal for less than $200. Walmart will also have hundreds of movies for less than $10 for customers to enjoy throughout the holiday season.
Tractor Supply in Starkville and Columbus will be closed today but opens at 6 a.m. Friday. You can find 25 percent off full-swing jackets and 30 percent off tool boxes.
Over in Starkville, Academy will close its doors today but will open early Friday morning at 5 a.m.
Sports enthusiasts will find sales on kayaks, basketball goals, weight sets and trampolines with some major markdowns for Black Friday.
