The following arrests were reported by the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office and the Columbus Police Department:

  • Michael Cortez Anthony, 28, of 337 Swedenburg Cir., was arrested at the MDOC office Jan. 9 and charged with violation of probation. He has not been released.
  • James Earl Ball, Jr., 57, of 1701 3rd Ave. S., #1, was arrested by the CPD at 1501 Main St. Jan 9 and charged with burglary-commercial, bld. cars, etc. Bond was set at $3,500. he was released on Jan 9.
  • William Whitman Carr, 43, of 10976 Fernbank Rd. in Millport, AL., was arrested by the LSCO at 527 MLK Jr. Dr. S. on Jan. 10 and charged with malicious mischief-felony. His bond was set at $2,500. He was released Jan 10.
  • Kahlid Rashawn Roby, 20, of 109 Poplar St., was arrested at the MDOC office on Jan. 9 and charged with violation of probation. He has not been released.
  • Tracy Elijah Ward, 31, of 372 Kimberly Dr., was arrested at 372 Kimberly Dr. by the LCSO on Jan 10 for domestic violence. He has not been released.
  • Billy Eugen White, 60, of 111 Winchester Dr., was arrested at the Budget Inn by LCSO on Jan. 9 and charged with two counts sale of a controlled substance. He received a $7,500 bond for each count. He has not been released.
  • Perry Lynn White, 49, of 2080 Land Rd., was arrested at the MDOC office on Jan. 10 and charged with violation of probation. He has not been released.
