Bond has been set at $40,000 for the 25-year-old man accused of breaking his 18-month-old daughter”s leg while spanking her Friday.
Jon-Michael Murray, of 74 Azalea Drive, was arrested at his residence Friday after the girl”s mother called police to report her injuries, which also included an arm that had been broken possibly weeks ago and a cut to her cheek, said Police Public Information Officer Terrie Songer.
The toddler was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle from the house, Songer said.
Murray told police he had injured the girl while spanking her, although Songer declined to comment about why she was being disciplined.
