A Columbus man was arrested in connection to an armed robbery from July of this year.
Deputies with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office took Lucas Parker, 30, of 413 Brewer Road, into custody on Monday and charged him with one count of armed robbery.
Parker is accused of threatening a clerk at State Line Fuel Center on July 25, LCSO Detective Tony Cooper said.
Parker allegedly entered the store and walked around before pulling out a knife or box cutter and lunging at the clerk, asking what was in the cash register, Cooper said. Parker allegedly fled the scene when another clerk arrived.
When LCSO arrested him, Parker was in custody at the Pickens County Jail in Alabama where he was being held on drug possession and paraphernalia charges, said Chief Deputy Jonathan Gann with the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office.
Parker is currently in custody at the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center. His bond has not yet been set.
