A Columbus man is facing two felonies after police said he entered a car outside of a north Columbus home and touched a child inside inappropriately.
Darryl Lee Williams, 44, of 2503 22nd Ave. N., was arrested at the scene of the incident, which occurred Saturday, according to a Columbus Police Department press release.
The case began when CPD officers responded to a home along 22nd Street North after receiving a call about a suspicious person. Authorities say Williams entered a vehicle in the driveway, which belonged to the homeowner. The vehicle was occupied by several children and Williams, according to authorities, touched one inappropriately.
No other details were given.
Williams has been charged with burglary and touching a child for lustful purposes.
He remains in the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center.
