We’re living in a time now where it’s not safe in our homes, our community, on our job, at our churches or anywhere we go. However, we don’t have to be afraid because God has got you covered under His protection. “He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection” (Psalm 91:4 NLT).
In our daily lives, we encounter various adversities that can be likened to the followers of wickedness, whether they are in the form of harmful words, deceitful actions or physical threats. These adversaries may seem overwhelming at times; yet, we have this comforting assurance that God has got us covered under His protection. “O Lord, keep me out of the hands of the wicked. Protect me from those who are violent, for they are plotting against me” (Psalm 140:4 NLT).
We live in a world that seems ready to burst under the rising pressures of natural and spiritual threats. The natural and spiritual threats out there are real, but we don’t have to be afraid; we can run to the Lord for our protection. He has got us covered under His protection, shielding us from harm. His name is where we find rest and refuge. “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe” (Proverbs 18:10 NKJV).
The enemies of this life may chase us, hunt us down and altogether seek to make our life miserable, but the enemies do not have the last say over anything. God, in His complete sovereignty, has got us covered under His protection, and He’s faithful in protecting us from the devil, who seeks to destroy us. “But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one” (2 Thessalonians 3:3 NIV).
Despite all the danger that’s going on around us, we can go to bed and sleep in peace knowing that God has got us covered under His protection. “I will both lie down in peace and sleep; for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety” (Psalm 4:8 NKJV).
When we’re faced with trouble in our lives, we can rest assured that God has got us covered under His protection. With God as our hiding place, we can find solace and security knowing that He will protect us from life’s troubles. “Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance” (Psalm 32:7 KJV).
So be encouraged today and always remember: God has got us covered under His protection, both now and forever. “The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore” (Psalm 121:8 KJV).
