The bold and gold harmonies of Nashville duo Goldpine will headline at The Barn this Thursday. Ben and Kassie Wilson, better known as Goldpine, have won the Rocky Mountain Songwriter Contest and been featured on NPR’s “Mountain Stage with Kathy Mattea.” Goldpine’s brand of “aggressive Americana” is a flawless channel for their bold and reminiscent compositions. Husband and wife of 16 years, after meeting at church a couple of years prior, Goldpine has just released their third album, Three, which collects stories of sorrow, tested love and space trips. Mastered by Dave McNair (Shovels & Rope, Lauren Daigle), the album was captured from a mash of actual live performances on the road in 2024, showcasing the duo’s live energy as you would experience it straight from the stage.
Festival favorites, Goldpine have performed at Mile of Music, AmericanaFest, the Philadelphia Folk Festival, MerleFest and Red Ants Pants Music Festival.
Opening the Thursday concert will be Texas native Remy Reilly – a 22-year-old award-winning indie pop singer-songwriter from Dallas. This year Reilly won Best Pop Vocalist, Best Pop Song for “Ricochet” and Best Songwriter at The Dallas Entertainment Awards. She is not only a singer with a voice mature beyond her age, but she is also a multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar, drums and piano. Inspired by artists like Foster the People, Norah Jones and The Cure, the vocal powerhouse is a force to be reckoned with and a fresh new face on the music scene.
“I think we have an outstanding lineup for this second show in our 2026 music series,” says Steve Ellis, co-owner of The Barn with his wife, Kay. “This is the sixth full year of our concert series, and I really believe we’ve been able to bring some of the best Americana, folk, blues and bluegrass artists performing today to Columbus and the Golden Triangle.”
Parking and dinner begin at 6 for each concert, with the music starting at 7 p.m. The audience is treated to a free dinner and beverages at each show, and a donation jar is available for the audience to support a different local charity. This week, Hearts Apart, a military support program for families of deployed personnel at Columbus Air Force Base, will be the beneficiary of the crowd’s generosity.
“Dinner for this concert will consist of Johnsonville smoked brats and nachos with cheese and salsa,” says Kay Ellis. “We’ll also have chips, cookies, soft drinks, water and beer available, all for free! And of course, we’re looking forward to our June 4 show when Rosey Baby Cajun Restaurant will be providing a fish fry for the crowd.”
The Barn is located at 136 Mac Davis Road in Columbus. Tickets for all shows at The Barn are $30 and can be purchased at barnconcertseries.com. Be sure to bring your lawn chair for a night of great music under the stars!
