The Oktibbeha County Heritage Museum is hosting the Southern Fiber Artists’ “Mississippi Quilt Challenge” exhibition through April 23.
The traveling exhibit showcases more than 100 Mississippi-themed art quilt panels created by artists from across the state.
Presented as individual works – each approximately 16 by 24 inches – the pieces offer an up-close look at the creativity, craftsmanship and storytelling traditions of contemporary fiber artists.
Featuring both collaborative and individual works, the exhibition highlights scenes, culture and landmarks that reflect the spirit and heritage of Mississippi. From recognizable landscapes to personal interpretations, each panel provides a unique perspective on the state.
The Southern Fiber Artists’ “Mississippi Quilt Challenge” is touring venues across Mississippi, bringing the collection to communities throughout the state.
The museum is located at 206 Fellowship St. in Starkville. Admission is free.
For more information about the exhibit and upcoming programs, visit the museum or follow the Oktibbeha County Heritage Museum on social media.
