Caledonia considering annexation possibilities

Golden Triangle wakes up to slippery roads

A little after 8 a.m., the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department responded to at least two wrecks, both were rollovers with passenger ejections, according to local scanner traffic.
Roberson, longtime Dispatch photographer, dies at 71
Ray L. Roberson, a photographer whose personable nature made him a good newspaper man and well-liked Columbus character, died shortly after midnight Sunday at Community Hospice in Verona, Ala.
He was 71.
Another round of cold, wet weather

The National Weather Service in Jackson this morning issued a winter storm warning for Lowndes, Oktibehha and Clay counties that will begin at 6 p.m. tonight and stay in place until 6 p.m. Tuesday.
