Mississippi State Baseball added a few more pieces to its 2027 roster on Wednesday.
Oregon catcher Burke-Lee Mabeus and North Florida outfielder Carter White both committed to State on Wednesday. According to On3’s Pete Nakos, MSU has added nine players through the portal.
Mabeus, who will come to Starkville as a junior, started 46 games for the Ducks in 2026. He had the fifth best marks on his team in both batting average (.286) and slugging percentage (.589).
Behind the plate, Mabeus had a .993 fielding percentage last season, caught runners stealing 13 times, and gave up only three passed balls.
White led North Florida in slugging percentage (.581) and RBIs (51), and was second in home runs with 11. He played in 52 games, starting in 50, and hit .302. White had just two errors in the outfield all season.
