The East Mississippi Community College women’s basketball team navigated a tight contest Monday at Snead State Community College, taking home a 62-59 road win in Boaz, Alabama.
The Lions improved to 9-2 with the victory.
Tye Metcalf had 11 of her team-leading 13 points in the second half for EMCC, which ended the third quarter in a 47-47 tie. Maddie Riley had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, Taylor Lattimore had 11 points, Topazia Hawkins had nine points, and Ja’Mia Hollings had eight points and eight rebounds.
The Lions have a long layoff before their next game, a home contest with Meridian Community College at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 6 in Scooba.
