Mississippi State football added another 2024 prospect to its recruiting class on Sunday with three-star tight end/defensive end Jay Lindsey committing to the Bulldogs.
Lindsey, the 6-5, 235-pound Butler, Alabama, native and current student at Patrician Academy, is the No. 62 tight end in the 2024 class and the No. 61 player in Alabama.
“First and foremost, I want to thank God for blessing me with the opportunity to play football at the next level,” Lindsey posted on Twitter on Sunday. “I also want to thank my parents, coaches and friends for supporting me through the years. Without them, none of this would be possible.”
Lindsey picked the Bulldogs over Troy, Southern Miss, Vanderbilt and UAB, among other programs.
He is now the fourth 2024 commit for head coach Zach Arnett and Mississippi State, currently ranked No. 48 so far in the 2024 recruiting cycle.
