STARKVILLE — Zach Arnett and the Mississippi State football team picked up a major transfer portal add Tuesday afternoon in former Penn State running back, Keyvone Lee, first reported by 247sports.
A source confirmed with The Dispatch Tuesday that Lee was enrolled in classes at MSU.
Lee, a junior from St. Petersburg, Florida, has two years of eligibility remaining. In three seasons with Penn State, Lee tallied 1,062 rushing yards and six touchdowns on 222 carries. He added 216 receiving yards and a touchdown on 30 catches.
Last season, Lee only rushed for 94 yards on 25 carries, playing in five games. His biggest game came in a 17-7 win over Northwestern where he rushed for 40 yards on 10 carries both season highs.
Before the 2021 season, Lee, a former four-star was named to the preseason Doak Walker Award Watch List, which is given to college football’s top running back each season.
