Postseason nominations and accolades continue to roll in for Mississippi State standouts Ace Reese and Noah Sullivan. The pair are nominated for the Dick Howser Trophy after impressive 2025 campaigns for the Bulldogs.
The award is presented annually to the top collegiate baseball player.
Reese was also named as a finalist for the Ferriss Trophy, earned the Southeastern Conference Newcomer of the Year award, and was named to the All-SEC First-Team earlier this week. He leads the league with 161 total bases, ranks second in the SEC with a .371 batting average, 18 doubles, 21 home runs and a .767 slugging percentage, and sits in third with 78 hits and 66 RBIs in 53 starts at third base at MSU.
Sullivan was also selected as a semifinalist for the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award. He is the only Bulldog to start all 55 games this season, batting .346 with 15 doubles, 13 homers and 43 RBIs. He ranks fourth in the SEC with a .479 on-base percentage.
As a pitcher, Sullivan boasts a 1.96 earned run average with 15 strikeouts and three walks through 18 ⅓ innings.
Finalists for the Dick Howser Trophy will be announced on June 7 with the winner unveiled on June 13 at 9:30 a.m. on MLB Network.
