Make it three straight wins for Oak Hill Academy softball.
After notching back-to-back wins on Monday and Tuesday, the Raiders exploded for five runs in the first inning to help capture a 10-0 shutout of Hebron Christian on Thursday in West Point.
Oak Hill (3-1) added three more runs in the third inning and then two more in the fifth to close the game. The Raiders didn’t have to swing much in the contest as the Eagles dished out 10 walks with no strikeouts, and finished the game with only three hits and four RBI.
Lucy Ramsay, Mary Crosly Coker and Mollie Caroline Brand each had a single for the Raiders, and Kaelyn Pennington and Sally Rhea Chaney both chipped in an RBI apiece.
From the circle, Brand fanned three Eagles and gave up four hits.
The Raiders are back on the diamond Monday at Calhoun Academy, looking to make it four consecutive wins.
