TUPELO — New Hope volleyball defeated Tupelo for the first time in school history on Tuesday night, doing so in straight sets.
The Trojans remain undefeated this season after a dominant victory against a school that has been a tough opponent for the program consistently.
New Hope takes that undefeated regular season record into a tough match against Neshoba Central at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Caledonia 3, Pontotoc 2
CALEDONIA — Caledonia volleyball improved to 2-0 in district play after a tough five-set home victory against Pontotoc on Tuesday night.
Set scores were 22-25, 25-18, 21-25, 25-22 and 15-9.
After trailing two sets to one in the match, both of those set losses being close losses, the Cavaliers (9-3) turned things around and emphatically won the last two sets to clinch the match.
Caledonia looks to stay undefeated in district play, playing in its first away district match of the season against Shannon at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Oxford 3, Starkville 0
OXFORD — Starkville volleyball, after struggling at home against Oxford last month, fared the same on the road, losing in straight sets on Tuesday night.
Set scores were 16-25, 15-25 and 14-25.
Oxford’s attack was too much for the Yellow Jackets (5-10), who have dropped to 1-2 in district play, those two losses coming at the hands of the Chargers.
Starkville looks to get back on the right track in its next match against Choctaw County at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Pillow Academy 12, Starkville Academy 5
STARKVILLE — Starkville Academy had its three-game winning streak snapped as the Volunteers fell to Pillow Academy, 12-5, on Tuesday night.
The Volunteers (7-5) fell into an early hole, and despite what looked to be a comeback, Pillow Academy was too much in the end.
Starkville Academy hopes to start a new winning streak as the Vols travel to play Magnolia Heights at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
