KOSCIUSKO — The New Hope High School boys basketball team erased a 13-point halftime deficit to beat Kosciusko 75-69 in overtime in Monday’s road game.
The Trojans trailed 37-24 at the half but went into overtime tied 67-67. They allowed just two points to the Whippets in the extra period.
LJ Hackman scored 23 points to lead the Trojans. Ty Crowell had 18, Eric Caldwell had 14, and Jorden Edwards had 14.
New Hope’s next game is at 7 p.m. Saturday against Corinth in the BIGG Classic in Biggersville.

Columbus Christian Academy 76, Amory Christian Academy 9
STEENS — The Columbus Christian Academy girls routed Amory Christian Academy 76-9 in Monday’s home game.
Morgan Whitten scored 22 points for the Rams. CC DeVos had 17, and Faith Yeates had nine.
Columbus Christian’s next game is Dec. 18 at Starkville Christian.

Joe Michael Edwards had 22 points, Tyler Looney had 14 and Jacob Minga had 13 for the Rams.

PONTOTOC — The New Hope girls soccer team beat Pontotoc 1-0 in Monday’s road match.
Reagan Presley had the lone goal for the Trojans.
New Hope’s next match is Saturday at Grenada.

New Hope 1, Pontotoc 1 (New Hope wins on penalty kicks)
PONTOTOC — The New Hope boys team beat Pontotoc on penalty kicks on Monday in Pontotoc.
Trey Parnell, Christian Juarez and Caden Perrigin all made their PKs for New Hope.
Parnell had the Trojans’ goal in regulation as the match headed to penalties in a 1-1 tie.
Starkville Academy 5, Byhalia 0
BYHALIA — Brody Pierce had a hat trick as the Starkville Academy boys team beat Byhalia 5-0 in Monday’s road match.
Andrew Pollan and Isaac Lepard each added goals for the Volunteers.
Starkville Academy hosts East Rankin Academy on Tuesday.
