The opening round of the MAIS Division 4A playoffs brought a different kind of spotlight to Heritage Academy on Friday night. Head coach Tobias Smith was unavailable due to a one-game suspension, and former head coach Sean Harrison stepped back in to lead the Patriots. The situation could have introduced confusion or hesitation, but it never did. Heritage was aggressive, organized and confident from the opening series and rolled to a 35-7 win over Oak Forest Academy.
