COLUMBUS — Mississippi University for Women men’s golf has been on a tear recently, rattling off two-straight tournament wins at the Rose-Hulman Music City Invitational and the Alabama Invasion, hosted by Spalding University.
As a result, the Owls have made their way up the NCAA Division III men’s golf rankings nationally, coming in at No. 26 in the latest update.
Two spring tournaments remain for MUW before the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) championships at Metamora Fields Golf Club in Metamora, Illinois.
The Owls are also the top-ranked SLIAC team in this latest rankings update.
“I am really proud of these guys and what they have accomplished this year being our first year in Division III,” head coach Benji Williams said in Wednesday’s press release. “It’s nice for the guys to get some recognition for their hard work, but this is not the end-all.”
