OXFORD – Ole Miss wide receiver Cayden Lee – who had 106 receptions for 1,623 yards and seven touchdowns in three seasons with the Rebels – is transferring to Missouri, On3Sports’ Hayes Fawcett reported Saturday.
Lee confirmed his commitment shortly thereafter. Lee, who just finished his junior season, will join former Rebels quarterback and classmate Austin Simmons in Columbia, Missouri. Simmons started the first two games of the 2025 season for Ole Miss before an injury thrust Trinidad Chambliss into the starting role.
Lee, who is from Kennesaw, Georgia, started the Peach Bowl as a true freshman in 2023 and caught 5 passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games overall. He broke out as a sophomore with 57 catches for 874 yards and two touchdowns and followed that up with a 44-catch, 635-yard 2025 season. With Lee’s departure, Ole Miss will lose five of its top six receiving-yards leaders from this past season.
The Rebels return junior Deuce Alexander, who caught 44 passes for 684 and two touchdowns in his first season with the Rebels after transferring from Wake Forest. Ole Miss has received commitments from former Syracuse receivers Darrell Gill Jr. and Johntay Cook, former Kentucky receiver Cameron Miller and former Virginia Tech receiver Isaiah Spencer from the transfer portal. Gill is ranked as a four-star transfer by 247Sports while Cook, Miller and Spencer are rated as three-star transfers. Ole Miss also returns Class of 2025 five-star prospect Caleb Cunningham.
