COLUMBUS — Mississippi University for Women is headed to the postseason in women’s soccer.
MUW clinched a spot in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament with one match to go in the regular season.
The Owls, despite a 5-8 overall record, are 4-4 in conference play, having won two of their last three conference matches.
MUW secured a berth after Principia College lost their conference match, 5-1, on Tuesday night, ensuring the Owls a top-six finish in their first year as a full Division III member and first year in the SLIAC.
Saturday’s regular season finale against Greenville will further determine seeding going into the conference tournament, which begins at host sites on Tuesday.
