Mississippi State women’s soccer announced the addition of another exhibition match, scheduled to take place at the MSU Soccer Field on Sunday, Aug. 17 at 6 p.m. The Bulldogs will host NCAA Division II program Union in an exhibition that will not count toward either teams official record.
The No. 22-ranked Bulldogs saw the start of their 2025 campaign delayed by severe weather on Thursday. They were set to face off against UT Martin before a lengthy lightning storm delayed the kickoff. The storm continued until late in the evening, and the match was cancelled.
The Bulldogs played one full exhibition, a 4-0 victory against Mercer, and one incomplete road exhibition at UL Monroe, also cut short by severe weather. With limited opportunities to run out against other teams before the matches go up a level of intensity, the program was quick to schedule another match before the regular season officially kicks off against Jacksonville State on Thursday, Aug. 21.
