Juniuor-college prospect, originally from Jackson’s Murrah High School, had 29 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and 11 tackles for loss as a freshman.
Malik Dear * ATH * 5-9, 210 * Jackson-Murrah
Ranked as the No. 11 athlete in the country by 247sports.com, Dear posted 2,262 all-purpose yards and 32 touchdowns as a junior. He is one of five early enrollees.
Nick Gibson * RB * 5-11, 200 * Pinson Valley, Ala.
A member of Rivals.com’s top 250, Gibson is a consensus four-star prospect with an offer from Alabama. He rushed for 2,205 yards and 20 touchdowns as a junior.
Donald Gray * WR * 5-11, 175 * Copiah-Lincoln C.C.
The four-star junior college prospect signed with MSU out of high school in 2013, redshirted first season in junior college. He will have three seasons of eligibility left.
Farrod Green * WR/TE * 6-4, 210 * Wesson
The three-star prospect, who committed to MSU in June, likely projects to tight end in college.
Justin Johnson * WR * 6-4, 200 * Hoover, Ala.
The first of MSU’s commitments at the annual Big Dawg camp in July, Johnson caught the game-winning touchdown for Alabama in the Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Game.
Dontae Jones * WR * 6-5, 220 * Louisville
A four-star prospect, Jones had 45 catches for 714 yards and 14 touchdowns for the 2013 Class 3A state champions.
Kendell Jones * DE * 6-4, 246 * Pinson, Ala.
Ranked the No. 47 defensive end in the country by Scout.com and helped Clay-Chalkville High win a state championship.
Keith Joseph, Jr. * DE * 6-3, 230 * Pascagoula
The son of a former Bulldog, Joseph had 67 tackles, five sacks, and 17 tackles for loss as a junior. As a senior, he led Pascagoula High with 12 sacks.
Traver Jung * OLB * 6-4, 218 * Holmes C.C.
MSU’s fourth junior-college commitment, Jung is the only one who hasn’t signed yet. He is expected to join the Bulldogs in June.
Mark McLaurin * S * 6-3, 205 * Collins
A high school quarterback, McLaurin boasts offers from all three in-state Football Bowl Subdivision schools.
Darrien McNair * OLB * 6-3, 210 * Ocala, Fla.
One of MSU’s first commitments for the 2015 class, McNair has added offers from Louisville, Kentucky, and Florida.
Keith Mixon * RB * 5-8, 175 * Irondale, Ala.
Projecting as a multi-position offensive threat at the next level, Mixon was Alabama’s Offensive MVP during the Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Game.
Harrison Moon * OT * 6-5, 260 * Signal Mountain, Tenn.
Ranked by 247sports.com as the No. 25 athlete in Tennessee, Moon is a teammate of quarterback Nick Tiano, also an MSU commit.
T.D. Moton * DL * 6-2, 310 * Shreveport, Louisiana
One of MSU’s first commits of the 2015 class, he decimated and pledged to Alabama in the summer, only to rejoin MSU’s class with a commitment Monday.
Anfernee Mullins * 6-4, 245 * Aliceville, Ala.
A three-star defensive end, Mullins had offers from Louisville and Georgia Tech.
Alec Murphy * RB * 6-2, 222 * Nixa, Mo.
Big, physical running back also has offers from Kansas State, Missouri, Illinois, and Iowa.
Jamal Peters * S * 6-3, 205 * Bassfield
Possibly the jewel of MSU’s class so far, Peters is ranked as the No. 3 safety in the country by 247sports.com, No. 5 by Scout.com. Also has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M, among others.
Martinas Rankin * 6-5, 300 * Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College
Rankin is projected as a likely starter along MSU’s offensive line in 2015.
Maurice Smitherman * CB * 5-9, 175 * Adamsville, Ala.
Listed as No. 66 defensive back in country by Scout.com, Smitherman has offers from Virginia Tech, Wisconsin, and West Virginia.

A high school quarterback, Spivey likely projects to slot wide receiver at the next level.

Slot receiver that is ranked as the No. 45 athlete in Tennessee, is one of five early enrollees and he will be in Starkville for spring practice.
