Cameron Young became the second Mississippi State prospect to be selected in this year’s NFL Draft.
Young, a defensive tackle, was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the fourth round with the 123rd overall pick.
Young, from Crosby, Mississippi, spent five years in Starkville, playing in 41 games, tallying 103 total tackles (eight for a loss), one sack and one interception, while also starting all 13 games in 2022.
Young, a former three-star recruit in the 2018 class, played sparingly his first three seasons in Starkville before starting 24 games over his final two season. During that span, Young tallied a career-high 51 tackles in 2021, a season that also included his lone collegiate interception. He added 34 tackles last year.
Young was the 13th defensive tackle selected in the 2023 Draft.
