Mississippi State football is losing a highly recruited receiver.
Freshman Teddy Knox announced Thursday he has entered the NCAA transfer portal after his lone season in Starkville. Knox played in three games but did not record a catch. Against Tennessee State, he had one kick return for 31 yards.
The Baton Rouge native played his last two seasons of high school football at The Woodlands (Texas) High School and was a four-star prospect when the Bulldogs signed him on Dec. 16, 2020.
Mississippi State recently added a former four-star prospect of its own, landing Northwestern transfer receiver Jordan Mosley. The Bulldogs lost Makai Polk to the NFL draft and Malik Heath to the transfer portal but return Jaden Walley, Rara Thomas, Christian Ford, Lideatrick Griffin and more in 2022.
