Mississippi State received a bit more clarity regarding its 2024 schedule Tuesday as the Southeastern Conference announced the start time windows for all remaining games.
The Bulldogs’ SEC opener against Florida on Sept. 21 will begin at 11 a.m. and will air on either ABC or ESPN. The only other game with a specific time announced Tuesday is MSU’s Nov. 2 homecoming tilt against Massachusetts, which will kick off at 3:15 p.m. on SEC Network.
All other games will be played in one of three windows: early (between 11 a.m. and noon), afternoon (between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m.) or night (between 5 and 7 p.m.). The Bulldogs’ game at Georgia on Oct. 12 and their home date with Texas A&M the following week could be flexed into either the afternoon or night windows.
Following the Florida game, MSU will travel to SEC newcomer Texas for an afternoon game ahead of the Bulldogs’ first open week. MSU hosts Arkansas in the early window on Oct. 26, travels to Tennessee in the night window on Nov. 9 and hosts Missouri in the afternoon window on Nov. 23.
Four game times had been revealed previously — the Bulldogs host Eastern Kentucky in the season opener on Aug. 31 at 5 p.m., then travel to Arizona State for a 9:30 p.m. central time kickoff on Sept. 7 before returning home to battle Toledo on Sept. 14 at 6:30 p.m. The Egg Bowl against rival Ole Miss will be played on Friday, Nov. 29 at 2:30 p.m., a change from the Thanksgiving night kickoff of the last several years.
MSU finished 5-7 last season with a 1-7 mark in SEC play. The Bulldogs are entering their first season under new head coach Jeff Lebby.
