Mississippi State defensive lineman Trevion Williams was arrested by MSU Police on Wednesday for an alleged DUI as well as improper equipment, according to records from the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office.
Williams is from Crystal Springs, Miss. and played in just three games as a redshirt freshman last fall before sustaining a season-ending injury. He was on track to become a starter in 2024.
“We are aware of the matter and are continuing to gather information,” head coach Jeff Lebby said in a statement. “We have no further comment at this time.”
Lebby issued an identical statement Tuesday following the arrests of freshman wide receivers Mario Craver and JJ Harrell for possession of marijuana in a vehicle and possession of beer by a minor.
In Mississippi, a first-offense DUI is classified as a misdemeanor, punishable by up to 48 hours in jail, a fine of $250 to $1,000 and the suspension of the offender’s driver’s license for 120 days.
