On Wednesday, the Mississippi Association of Coaches released the rosters for the 2023 Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Game and the 2023 Bernard Blackwell Classic.
Both all-star rosters feature a wealth of high school talent from the Golden Triangle, highlighted by several collegiate commits.
Star power for this season’s high school all-star football games were highlighted on the Mississippi/Alabama roster, with Starkville quarterback Trey Petty and wide receiver Braylon Burnside, as well as West Point running back/quarterback Kahnen Daniels listed.
Starkville head coach Chris Jones will also serve as the wide receivers coach for the game.
The Bernard Blackwell Classic has even more firepower listed as the annual North/South all-star game in Mississippi includes five players from the region.
West Point defensive lineman Zayvion Lowery and ATH Quinterion Tillman-Evans, Starkville offensive lineman Elton Thomas and running back Jay Stevenson and Noxubee County wide receiver Dequadrion Welch will be part of the festivities.
Additionally, Caledonia manager Dominick Owens, Cavaliers head coach Michael Kelly and Tigers head coach Teddy Young will join them, with Kelly and Young both listed as assistant coaches.
The Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Game will be played in Hattiesburg at noon on Dec. 16 while the Bernard Blackwell Classic is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Dec. 9 in Gulfport.
