COLUMBUS — The Lowndes County Sports Hall of Fame announced on Wednesday that reserve tickets have sold out for the inaugural induction ceremony this evening.

Board member Colin Krieger told The Dispatch that 400 reserved seat tickets have been sold for the event, but there will be 50 “walk up” tickets available for balcony seating.

The organization will induct the 10 inaugural members of the hall of fame today at the Trotter Convention Center, with special appearances from inductees Clarence Weatherspoon, who is currently the head basketball coach at Meridian Community College, and Leslie Frazier, currently the assistant head coach of the Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League.
WCBI anchor Kealy Shields will emcee the event.
The doors will open at 5 p.m. and the event will last until 9 p.m.
