Ole Miss added another in-state, blue-chip talent on Wednesday with the commitment of Holmes County Central defensive back Cortez Thomas.
Thomas is a four-star prospect, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings, and also held offers from Mississippi State, Arkansas, Colorado, Kentucky, Southern Miss and more. Thomas is ranked 217th overall in the class of 2025 and ninth in the state of Mississippi in 247Sports’ composite rankings.
With Holmes County Central last season, he had two interceptions, five passes defensed and 45 total tackles.
Thomas is the third composite four-star commit from Mississippi in Ole Miss’ 2025 class so far, joining Jarcoby Hopson and Andrew Maddox. Ole Miss’ 2025 class is currently 62nd in the country with 10 players committed.
