CLINTON — Starkville track and field competed in the Arrow Relays in Clinton on Thursday where the Yellow Jackets collected five first-place finishes.
On the boys side, sophomore jumper Amarion Neal cleaned up in long jump and triple jump, taking first in both with a 19-foot, 0.5-inch mark in long jump and a 40-foot, six-inch mark in the triple jump.
Starkville also took home first in the distance medley relay, consisting of the 400-meter, 800-meter, 1200-meter and 1600-meter events.
The quartet of Jack Fountain (1200m), Mekhi Edwards (400m), Scott McDonnall (800m), and Giles Jones (1600m), finished with a time of 11:31.70.
In girls competition, Luxury Wordlaw won the high jump event with a mark of four feet, 10 inches.
Starkville also took first in the girls sprint medley relay, consisting of two 200-meter sprints, the 400-meter and 800-meter sprints. The quartet of Jocelyn Randle (200m), Taniya Turner (200m), Adyn Kinard (400m), and Addison Vickers (800m), finished with a time of 4:33.
The Jackets head next to Hattiesburg to compete in the Southern Miss High School Invitational on March 1.
