COLUMBUS — Heritage Academy cheerleader Abigail Trout will join more than 300 performers at Walt Disney World next week for the 2025 Varsity Spirit Spring Break Performance. Trout will perform in front of crowds at Disney’s Magic Kingdom theme park and meet with cheerleaders and dancers from across the country for a spring break week at the parks and resort.
“I love cheering and have always found Walt Disney World to be a truly magical place,” Trout said. “I can’t wait to meet new friends and perform in one of my favorite places.”
The Spring Break Performance is an annual event at Disney World that invites select high school all-star cheerleaders and studio dancers nationwide.
Varsity Spirit is a Memphis-based cheerleading company that organizes travel competitions and camps and manufactures cheer and dance apparel.
Abigail, a sophomore at Heritage Academy and has been a cheerleader since the seventh grade. She was awarded the Heritage Academy Patriot Award for cheer, an award given to the cheerleader who exhibits the qualities that exemplify a Heritage Academy cheerleader.
Her team has received multiple awards, including the UCA Cheer Camp’s highly coveted Top Banana award.
“We are incredibly proud of Abigail for taking the initiative to submit a video tryout and earning the opportunity to perform at Walt Disney World,” said Kelly Trout, Abigail’s mother. “Her dedication and hard work have truly paid off, and we look forward to seeing her shine alongside talented cheerleaders from across the country. This will be a special family trip, and we know she will make the most of the Disney magic while representing Heritage Academy and her community with pride.”
