SANTIAGO, Chile – Former Mississippi State track and field athlete Tiffany Flynn earned a bronze medal at the 2023 Pan American Games in Chile on Monday in the women’s long jump.
Representing Team USA, Flynn clinched a podium spot with a best jump of 6.40 meters, just 0.09 meters away from second place, and doing so on her first attempt of three.
This is her first international medal following her Mississippi State career and she’s now the third former Bulldog track and field athlete to win a medal at the last two Pan American Games, joining Marco Arop and Anderson Peters.
“I’m extremely proud of Tiffany,” Bulldogs head coach Chris Woods said. “She’s a shining example of what hard work and dedication can bring to a person. On behalf of the entire Bulldog family, congratulations.”
